Who We Are

The Mt. Blue Regional School District (RSU 9) is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and accepting environment where students can explore and develop their creative and intellectual abilities. We shall educate students, promote their self-esteem, and encourage them to achieve their maximum potential. Students will demonstrate the ability to solve problems and to be self directed life long learners. As productive members of our society, students will demonstrate recognition and acceptance of individual differences, and demonstrate compassion and ethical judgement. The Mt. Blue Regional School District has incorporated volunteers in its eight schools for over twenty years. Here are a few volunteer possibilities - assisting in a classroom, library or office; helping with special projects; sharing a career or hobby; mentoring through our Lunch Buddy program; helping with kindergarten registration; winter fun days; or chaperoning on a field trip.

What We Do

The Mt. Blue Regional School District (RSU 9) Volunteer Program enhances all aspects of the educational process by providing student enrichment, individual educational assistance, and relieving teachers of some non-instructional tasks. As a volunteer, you might give us twenty minutes once a year or three hours a week. You may never enter a classroom, but prepare material or bake at home. Your gift of time and talent is always appreciated.
