We’d like to hear from you! We have SO many wonderful opportunities within our non-profit organization. We’re currently looking for qualified individuals for the following volunteer positions:

Support our various activities:
Artistic efforts (illustrations, creative projects, etc.)

          Helping at our annual Book Sale

          Helping get books donated

We’d like to hear from you! We have SO many wonderful opportunities within our non-profit organization. We’re currently looking for qualified individuals for the following volunteer positions:

One to One Tutoring Program – Tutor:
To provide one-to-one or small group tutoring to adults over 18, who need help with reading, writing, math, technology, or English as a second language. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Expectations: To commit to tutor at least 1 hour a week for at least one year, complete one 2 hour tutor training session, attend at least three ongoing training sessions of choice within a year, work with a learner as a peer and involve the learner in all major decisions about instruction, participate in progress monitoring and data collection system.

We are always seeking new board members who are passionate about promoting literacy and volunteerism. This role requires teamwork and the following time commitments:

A commitment of at least 1 year with a 3 year term for board positions such as secretary and treasurer Participation in a monthly meeting (held the third Wed. from 4-5:30 p.m.) Participation in 1 annual fund raiser; our giant annual book sale held the third weekend in May.  Participation in our annual meeting held in October.
